Carbon media cartridges are used in a variety of applications. Carbon reduces taste and odour from water as well as certain VOC's (Volatile Organic Chemicals such as chlorine). Some selected pesticides are also removed. Carbon filtration is the most popular choice for domestic under bench units which remove the bitter chemical taste that town supply treated water tends to have. Silver is added on some products to make the cartridge Bacteriostatic giving it an increased hygienic life.
The Carbon Block Cartridges Aqua Dynamics stock are manufactured using patented process and are made from FDA approved materials. They can be used in a wide range of commercial, residential food service and industrial applications. Both 10" and 20" lengths are available in the standard and jumbo width size. Several micron ratings are also available and we offer the popular 1 and 0.5 micron cartridges which successfully removes cysts (Giardia) and Cryptosporidium.
